Trump Plaza will be sold faster than Revel. Its in a prime location (just take the expressway until it dead ends and you are there). It will also be a much less expensive property and has the draw of the convention hall next door and convention space almost in walking distance at the Sheraton. However the property needs a lot of money invested to get it up to the standards of the marina properties (the three of them are much nicer properties that most, if not all, of the boardwalk locations).
Non-gaming revenue is becoming larger than gaming, that much is true. But it also has to do with how well a house treats its players. Now that I am in the LV area I see the types of offers to come to their properties. I never saw anything like that in AC. When I was in AC it often seemed like I was more of an inconvenience than a customer.
There may be more consolidation in the AC market and that's probably a good thing. It might provide the opportunity for the remaining casinos to upgrade their facilities and split the share of customers who still come down (whether as a overnighter, or a day trip). But until they also upgrade their customer service they won't get back on track.
