I'm working on updating a project of mine that catalogs all of a certain type of H&C chip. I'm hoping you can help.
I know that several collectors like to collect the different hat & cane mold variations. These include the Short-Cane-Variety (SCV), Long-Cane-Variety (LCV) and the mixed SCV/LCV chips. This generally yields 3 chips. When the chip has 2 different inlays, or asymmetric inserts, you will find a second SCV/LCV chip, bringing the total to 4 chips. I'm interested in this last group of 4 chips. Not many casino chips are in this group.
Still not sure how you could get 4 different chips? The $1 Silver Sevens chip is a great example of a $1 chip with all 4 variations due to its asymmetric inserts. There's the SCV and LCV, plus both SCV/LCV types (CG109645 & CG116239). (Note: The LCV chip was listed as CG109594 but isn't displayed in the ChipGuide any longer and the number was reassigned.)
If you have a SCV/LCV chip from the racks shown below, can you either post images of the front/back of the chip or e-mail them to me? You may also want to submit them to the ChipGuide too. Thanks!
