Also, operating Boulder City...

When we stopped at the Hacienda, Boulder City, NV, there was a huge sign "We're Open, Excuse The Construction!" When I went into the hotel, I was told it was no longer the Hacienda, but was in the process of re-branding. All the Hacienda Hotel keys had been replaced with a generic one. However, the clerk found just one behind the counter. We asked about the casino, and was told it's open, but they have discontinued table games. Proceeded there and applied for a Player's Card to see what happened -- I had to make application by filing out this long form by hand. Asked why and was told, "the casino is being operated by a third party." The person told me that it would be about 20 minutes before my card would be ready. When I went back to the snack bar -- that's where they processed applications -- I was told they had to FAX my handwritten application to Las Vegas, but it had been approved and they issued me a Dotty's Player's Card. Puzzled, I asked about the card and was told that's the company operating the casino at present. The attendant further stated the casino was going to get a new name and signage once the renovations are completed. She said it was going to be called something like "Boulder City Highway Rodeo Club or something with "Boulder City" in the name. So, the last card issued at the Hacienda has the name, "Dotty's" on it. Perhaps, someone who lives in that area has more information about the name change. Below are three items I picked up while I was there:
