I inquired at the South Point players club today and they are offering gasoline cards for players points, same as they did last year during the Convention. Too bad we missed it in June, but if you plan to be in LV sometime in the next 4 weeks, you can get $50 worth of gasoline in lieu of $25 in free play when you earn points on your player's card.
Cashback or Free Play: 333 Points = $1 (0.30%) , so one card requires $8,325 in coin in, maybe 45 minutes play on a $5 machine. SouthPoint VP paytables not very good at these play levels but return maybe 98% before gas bonus is considered; you could get lucky!
Last year, they were Chevron cards usable wherever there was a Chevron station (lots of them in Oregon). I didn't ask which company this year, but likely the same. Max of 10 cards offered per player.
I'll be in town for Freedom Fest at Planet Hollywood this week and might make a trip south to take advantage of his offer. R/T taxi fare will eat up one card, though .
Lasts through the month of July.
