There have been some new house chips that are well designed and visually interesting. Look at the latest $5 LVC (simple and functional and nice), Golden Gate (similar to a previous design and is refined further), $25 Palazzo/Venetian, $1 Margaritaville. But overall I agree that the designs have been less than inspirational. As Bob indicates its probably not something that the casino cares about -- its an end to a means and less artwork is as good as nice artwork. They still have the talent -- take a look at the $1 Wynn horse, or the latest COTY entrants.
