......Home at Last !!!! (Paraphrasing M. L. King)
I arrived back in the Great State of Delaware on Monday night after traveling cross country for 26 days to the Convention and back. This is the 14th straight year that I have driven to the Convention. I had a Great Convention and enjoyed seeing everyone. I picked up a Ton of Chips for my collection on the way out and the way back from the Convention as well as at the Convention. When you drive you get a chance to stop and see people along the way and pick up neat stuff. It's hard to stop and pick up chips or anything else when you are flying in an airplane at 30,000 ft.(unless you are D. B. Cooper) !! I will be posting scans over the next few days of some really great finds.
I hit a nice Jackpot on a Penny slot machine for $3750.00 at Harrah's in Laughlin the Saturday before the Convention which paid for my entire trip.
Thanks to everyone who stopped by my Table and bought or traded chips. Anyone who I talked to at the Convention who has requests for specific chips can send me a email reminder and I will see what I can find for you now that I am home.
I will be having a huge "REFROCON" (REturn FROm the CONvention) SALE in a couple of weeks - when I get everything sorted out and organized. You won't want to miss this Sale !!!!!
Thankfully, no accidents or problems with Large Trucks this year and very little bad weather to deal with. Although I did encounter some hail in Colorado and New Mexico.
Roulette harvesting was very disappointing as many Casinos I needed chips from did NOT have the Tables open when I was there or no one was playing making Harvesting very, very difficult. How is a Roulette Chip Dealer supposed to make an "Honest" living ???
When I arrived in Biloxi it was so hot and humid (95 degrees with 90% humidity) I didn't even feel like going out to the Casinos to look for chips. I was totally drenched just going from the parking lot to the Casino. I guess after 3 weeks of Casino hopping I was just to tired to deal with it. So, I stayed inside at Harrah's and won money on the slot machines and collected all my gifts and comps.
Take care,
