The crack goes all the way through. I have a picture showing how it's held together by the inlay only. IActually, this chip was surrounded by thin, but stiff cardboard, not even just stiff paper. f the chip goes through the machines, it can be broken. you have not had that experience, good for you. I wouldn't take that chance.
