Well, the Borland commemoratives, with open & close dates, aren't fakes IMO.
Purpose of those was not to deceive, as anyone with logic can discern that chips in that era didn't have close dates.

Resellers occasionally try to pitch them as chips from the casinos named, but that wasn't Borland's motive in making that particular group of chips IMO.

(Yes, I know that a couple more recent examples have close dates on legit chips, but not during the Borland era.)
