Plaza; stay in the North Tower and ask for a room away from the Fremont Street Experience (if you want to sleep). There is a resort fee that covers wifi and a couple of bottles of water. There was a loveseat that can't be seen in the picture. Room is very comfortable, bathroom is a little small.
We've stayed at the El Cortez a couple of times, in the tower rooms. Valet service is decent, food in the coffee shop is simple, but good. The rooms are a little dated, but comfortable. (They still rent out the original rooms, accessible by stairs from the lobby...have never seen those rooms). Bathrooms are small...there's a small window in the shower... When we stayed there last year, there was noise from a neighborhood bar that had a LOUD band. Not good! It bothered my husband more than it bothered me, but after one night at the El Cortez (I think we were supposed to be there 3 nights) we moved back to the Plaza.
