Depositing stock certificates

You should open an account with a discount brokerage that encourages new accounts. If you give the impression you are going to be a long term customer, several will not charge to deposit a paper stock certificate to your account. Fidelity Investments and Scottrade are two you should try.

I have several accounts with Fidelity and might be able to help you if you can't find a cooperative broker elsewhere.
