Doug and fellow collectors,

As I read Doug's comments I find all the comments he made are common to most hobby groups such as this. As President of the Ontario Numismatic Association and the Waterloo Coin Society I find these issues to be the same problems we are facing. While our local club is holding well with members, the Ontario Association is finding a decline in membership. All we can do is to keep trying our best to serve the members. I have done at least 4 talks at our meetings about this area of collecting as it is not very popular in this area of the country considering the amount of gaming facilities around. We must concentrate on bringing in the youth to our clubs as they are our future. With so much more out there for the youth to do today, our type of hobby has alot more to compete with in holding on to these future members.
I look forward to meeting everyone at this years convention for my first time attending this particular convention.
