Learned lesson on e-mail bidding today

Wahoee! I learned how to bid or more correctly how not to bid on e-bay auctions today. I had placed a bid of $16.00 on a cute little chip that I really wanted. I was the high bidder and no one raised the bid for 3 days. Just as I thought I had won the auction someone bid $16.50 about 30 seconds before bidding ended. Thinking I would outfox them I planed to place a bid of $17.00 5 seconds before the auction ended. B I N G O ! I won the bid but instead of entering $17.00 I just hit "Increase Bid". Guess someone else had the same idea as the winning bid turned out to be $22.00 instead of $17.00. Had not planned to go over $17.00 but still not a bad price for the chip. It could have been worse I suppose. Anyway I soon will be holding that cute little chip in my grubby hands.

In the future I will place an exact dollar amount on my bids instead of "Increase Bid" if bidding at the last second.

Happy chipping.
