train of thought. Although I may put one bid in on a "reserve" auction, I won't waste my time chasing a reserve price. Sheldon Smith (OneNevadaDollar on  ) runs auctions with reserves, but does it the right way, in my opinion -- he states right in the auction what the reserve is!!

 & have followed items on  where one seller starts an auction at 99 cents versus another seller that has the same item with a reserve. The "action" on that 99 cent auction is a lot while the "reserve" auction has very little action. I've even seen where an auction that starts out with a low opening bid ends up with a final price that exceeds the "Buy-It-Now" price of another auction with a reserve. Yep...I've done that before too.
