I did some traveling and talked to the people in the stores (about a dozen from Michigan & Florida). I have found that the store has a catalog of "Stuff" that they can order from the manufacture. I seen the page with chips on it and 3 styles (including the 110 Anniv) & many colors. The dealer can order what they want with their logo. The dealer does pay to order them.

I have had dealers give sets away to me (because they considered them promo items) and have had the dealer in West Palm Beach, FL charge me the most for a chip at $3.00 ea + tax!! It didn't matter if it was the 110th Anniv or 1 of the others. Most dealers said that they order more of the black w/orange inserts, orange w/black inserts and the 110th Anniv chips as they go the quickest

Some dealers also had a small frame (don't remember but think they held 15 chips and were reasonably priced) for sale but not all the dealers have ordered them but will order you 1 if you ask.

After the 1st trip, I contacted Charles and began added the 1st Harley locations in the "Chip Guide" for Michigan & Florida.

This was just what I had found. I do not collect them either, I did this just for a couple chipper friends that had asked me. I have not got any in over 18 months now since there are so many others now doing it.
