I agree with you Luis. I never knew about such places being included in the Chip Guide till now. For the moment, I think it tarnishes the reputation of the Club, Chip Guide and hobby. Listing such places in the Chip Guide is tawdry in general. And it is also silly -- for example, are you going to list every car wash place that hands out advertising poker chips, even if they are allowed to have one slot machine there? What if a drug gang hands out souvenir chips? I have not thought this out completely, but I think the Chip Guide people should disallow such places and chips being listed. Years ago, the Nevada Gaming Control Board had the good sense and taste to order the Riviera $5 por_n star casino chips (that were earlier approved) to be destroyed. It was undignified for them and should be so for us, especially because these places don't have casinos.
