I have a bullfight ticket from March 18, 1980. Encased in Lucite. It measures approximately 6¼" W x 3¾" H x 1" thick.
What intrigued me about this item was that it appeared to be an actual ticket, not a souvenir (like many of those Super Bowl tickets) and it has a signature on the back.
I went on "Google" looking for a "bullfighting" expert, and found one in Spain. I asked him to look at my scans. His response was:
"It looks to me like 'Damaso' (complete with the accent mark over the first 'a'). That would be Damaso Gonzalez, a matador from Albacete who was very popular in Valencia and often performed there. I checked the cartels for March 18, 1980, and found that, in effect, Damaso was on the card that day: Paquirri, Damaso Gonzalez, Jose Maria Manzanares (padre) in that order."
Email me if interested.
