It appears you are correct Archie. Epson doesn't have a driver for your scanner that runs under Windows 8.1. They do have one for Windows 95 . Must be a pretty old model.

I do recommend the Perfection V500 scanner and have used it for several years. Here is the link to the Epson site for downloading the V500 driver for your operating system.

Epson also sells the V500 refurbished for $99, which is how I bought mine. This is a $350 scanner new.
