My new computer came with Win. 7, 64-bit loaded. I had to download the version for Win. 7 from Epson 1670 since my previous operating system was XP. The computer also came with an update disk to move it to Win. 8.1. Now, I am not in a hurry to move to the Win. 8.1 operating system. Win. 7 has a "comparability" mode to fix older software that ran okay before, but won't run on the new platform. Check your manual about how this is done. There are two items here: Compatibility and Troubleshooting programs that don't work after installation. It walks through a series of prompts and will make changes to the software compatibility. Look at your manual.
