Never played with him but played with quite a few top players in California back in the '60's.

My only 'pool related" claim to fame was 1st Place in the California Police Olympics in Lake Tahoe, 1969.
I beat the "then" current champion in 14-1 call shot. He was leading but rattled a corner shot. I then ran 31 to beat him! That was back when I could see!!!!!
