The River Queen postcard (7th pic down) is an artists' rendering, not photo. Perhaps pre-opening drawing?
The Holiday photo (9th pic down) shows "Holiday Casino" signage above the entrance in the same location as "River Queen" signage in the artist rendering.
What this difference means? I'm not sure. I'd like to believe that it opened as River Queen for a while, if only briefly, before changing names. Were River Queen-logoed items (chips, dice, playing cards, etc.) used in actual play, if only briefly? Don't know, either way. I'm no expert.
In a different era, we do have the example of the Hilton-AC chips being made, then license not approved, so that casino opened as Trump Castle ... using the Hilton-AC chips until replacements arrived. The River Queen / Holiday Las Vegas isn't identical situation, since no approval / ownership change issue involved, but still not crystal clear to me as to how the River Queen name fits in.
What's your best guess / theory?
