It may never be possible to show pictorially the difference between shiny H&C and just Long-Cane H&C molds, David. In many cases, it's only the reflectiveness of the hat design that makes the difference. Scans made with flat lighting often make them look the same. I don't see any alternative to using words in the catalog or in the picture database to say which is which.
If there are other differences, like chip color in this instance, then it's particularly important to match up the mold description with the specific color known for that mold.
I sometimes wonder if we'd be better off not trying to guess whether a particular chip was made by Christy & Jones or Paulson since both used the same metal tooling in some cases. However, that decision was made 10-15 years ago, and we are stuck with the terminology, so best we can do it to try and make it consistent in the different reference sources.
