I meant to do this yesterday when the thread was fresh, but being a holiday the day just got away from me.
In 1942, Stevens' partner Ed Jordan ordered chips very similar to the "Pines" chips from 1932/1934.
Stevens sold the Star Ranch in the Pines in 1937, and unfortunately it was not to Jordan. At the time these second chips were ordered, Jordan and Stevens were opening the Stockade. It is a little concerning that these chips match the "Pines" chips motif, but I don't see that this is a major problem. I still believe the "Pines" chips were for the Star Ranch because the timing is right. If the 1942 pine tree chips also had "Pines" printed on them, I would be a little worried, but they don't.
So are the pine tree chips above for the Stockade. I think "probably", but I have nothing more than good timing to base it on.
(Also, I don't have any of these chips but would love to trade for some - as I'm sure Gene would as well.)
