Solution: Union Plaza Maxi-Baccarat Shoe

Does anyone else remember the Maxi-Baccarat shoe at the Union Plaza? 1975, according to TCR notation for the $3 chip used on the game.

It was a gimmick, and probably didn't last that long, but the idea was to build a 6-8 foot long dealing shoe that held enough cards for an entire shift.
When they opened the game in the evening, they brought out DOZENS of new playing cards (seemed like 100+ decks) and shuffled them and loaded the shoe, all in public in sight of the casino patrons. Then the game began. Dealt cards were discarded after each hand, never being played more than one time.

I was pretty new to casino gambling at the time, but happened to be in Union Plaza when the shuffling and card loading was occurring. I didn't play, but watched for a while. The shoe was impressive, though a bit gimmicky too.
