We had an issue this afternoon with a prolonged bot attack (seeking to apparently do nothing) on the slotcard bb.
I thought the server had crashed but repeated restarts only solved the issue for 10 minutes at a time.
So, you couldn't access the bb's because the attack slowed the server to a crawl and caused timeouts (rather than it having stopped).
The error log file was so vast it has taken several hours to pinpoint the cause and develop a solution so I had to lock the forums until we saw the problem was apparently on the one bb only.
I have started the other bb's up for now but the slotcard bb will remain closed until the necessary fix is complete (actually a complete script update), and I will leave them up unless the problem returns.

At some point later today or early tomorrow a.m there may be brief intermittent times all bb's are offline while script files are overwritten. There is a faint future possibility that any real human users with moving IP addresses could be caught out if they share those IP addresses with any bot hosts. The fix will direct any such cases to a page with a non bot readable graphic message to contact me to release individual messages if necessary.
