Not following your logic....

how can a chip, by being cleaned, imply that it is in better or less worn condition? To me, it implies that it's been cleaned. The wear on most chips is evidenced by the lack of cross-hatching or presence of scuffing or lack of "gloss". Cleaning a chip does not change anything other than the aesthetics of that chip. That's like saying that washing a car before you sell it makes it looks like it has less miles. No...it makes it look clean.
