Two years ago I went to the only local coin show that they have twice a year. Every time I go I ask the dealers if they have any casino items. Most of the time the answer is "no" but occasionally they have silver strikes or a few chips. When I went that day one dealer said he had four chips back at his store. I emailed him, he sent me a scan and said he wanted $20 for the chips. I sent Paypal and the chips came a few days later. One of the chips has a low TCR value of $3000. I have not sold the chip but if I did it would pay for a lot of gas to go to other sales. I also bought a small collection recently from a guy who needed the money. At the time I was not even sure if the collection was worth it. It turned out the few higher value chips covered the cost of the collection times two and there were 475 common chips left. Lots of traders to help improve my collection.
