My son and I were down in Fort Worth last week visiting family. We went over to Billy Bob's to see what it was. It's a gigantic place. They say they are the world's largest honky tonk. I believe it. It was around noon on a Monday and the place was pretty empty. I saw a guy at the bar with some paperwork in front of him and asked he he knew anything about the place. He said....I run the place. I'm thinking this is the guy I want to talk to. we talked about the bar, it's history and I asked about the old poker chips they used to have. He mentioned he had several colors of them at home. He gave me his contact info and said drop him a line when I get home and he'll send me some. Well I wasn't holding my breath but, I did and he answered and said a package would be in the mail the next day. I'm not someone to let that kind of generosity to a total stranger go unpunished. So I offered him some old poker chips in return. I told him I'd try to make a chip collector out of him. I think he liked that. I got six colors of the Billy Bobs's chips today in the mail. I had seen the chips but, never thought I'd get them all. You just never know. I want to keep all these colors, so no extras for sale.
