remember where it came from. I actually have that page somewhere in my records.
But, I must confess that most of the old Cuban collectors, including myself, purchased that chip and still have it in our collections. I just looked back at my records and you were correct, these chips were already selling with packages of chips from Cuba in early 2001, when I started. My first was purchased around that time. We had very little knowledge of Cuban chips and anything that came from Cuba was Cuban and that was just another chip. And around 2005 they appeared in large numbers and with the selling point that these were part of the "Crossed C" chips, which we now know is the Colony Casino. But, by then we knew these chips could not be from Cuba for obvious reasons.
In regards to the catalog, is not far from finishing. All the info, all the pictures and all the material needed is completed. Just writing it in the book and transferring pictures etc to the final version. My problem now is that over the past year my health slowly continues to deteriorate and I have lost almost all feeling in my fingers and typing has become extremely difficult. We have decided that in order to get it out soon, in case any inconvenience happens and the catalog never gets published, we will probably just do a "first" version with all the pictures , chips description, but very little history or writing so that the most important part is out. Then we will follow with a second edition , which includes history, all the info, detailed mafia involvement, a real complete book, which is how I had originally envisioned and which material is already ready for transfer and publication.
