Lucky ebay seller: Whisky-a-Go-Go

The Whisky-a-Go-Go 500 chip is a non-traditional advertising chip from a 1970's bar (strip club?) in downtown LV.
A HHR mold with a paste-on inlay. (Pic below from the ebay listing.)

I've only seen the chip a few times, and most have inlays that are scuffed. Mine in pretty good shape, but the ebay chip shown is in better shape than most I've seen. I think I recall one for sale in a Chip Chat auction a while back, but haven't tried to look it up. (This chip is right up Doug's alley, with the double-entendre possibilities ... noting the "paste-on" inlay, for instance. vbg )

Anyway, it appears that a general antiques seller in Minnesota got lucky listing this chip. Auction closed yesterday with a final bid of $330. An underbidder pushed it to this level with a $325 bid, but most of the action was at $200 or below, in line with the TCR value in the $150-$175 range.

My guess is that the seller was VERY pleasantly surprised to get that much. He's not even a chip specialist -- none of his other active or completed listings involve chips or casinos at all. But he found the right 2 bidders who must have REALLY wanted that chip... so congratulations to all concerned!
