I heard at one time a while back that you were no allowed to take movies, or vieo of a slot machine as they were afraid you could then study a pattern the reels played out and figure a system. With the new video terminals that's probably no longer an issue.

As far as photos, it could have been to protect the ID of any players. I've seen lots of people with cameras over the past 5 years or so and never saw any security interference when they were taking shots.
