New Release Chips

New release chips have been the subject of some interesting discussions on the Chipboard; to say the least.
Let’s try to establish some guidelines that create the following prices. $1 chip = $3, $4 or $5
• Las Vegas NR’s- not sure why anyone would want to try to get top dollar for a new issue, outside low issue LE’s or LTD’s or stingy cashiers & pit bosses.
• Riverboat’s, Indian Casinos & some Card Rooms. Very often these are somewhat difficult and out of the way. Many times they won’t sell them at the cage and you have use ingenuity to harvest. I agree with the group that ask for a slightly higher price when this is the scenario.
• Overall, I think that $4 shipped (includes postage/handling) should and would be the average asking price for most chip collectors, hobby dealers, and regular known dealers.
Some chips are released with LTD amounts, usually LTD 200, LTD 500 or LTD 1000 & up, these can and usually will command a higher price up to and including $5.
