lol! finding stuff to scan or photograph is no problem....it's all over the house!!
Finding stuff that we don't have is harder than it used to be (we bought most of our ashtrays when the market was high...sigh...)
can't remember where/when we got the camel glass...probably in Las Vegas, possibly at an antique shop.
My first trip to Nevada was in 1981 and I saved a couple of chips as souvenirs (while thinking I was stupid for doing it, because chips could be exchanged for money...and who would collect money????) I also picked up a few ashtrays in Vegas and in Lake Tahoe.
Fast forward to around 1993-1994. Found an ashtray at a flea market in Michigan, from Joe W. Brown's Horseshoe Club. WHOSE Horseshoe Club???? On our next trip to Vegas (probably in 1994) we stopped at Gambler's General Store. Saw Art Anderson's ashtray book...had the Joe W. Brown Story...bought the book. Fell in love with the stories about the casinos...Started collecting ashtrays...expanded from there. So we've been collecting about 20 years.
