I think any one of us would have done what security did after them seeing his movement; lowering his arms as if he was reaching under his shirt for a gun. It's quite clear they were in fear for their life and had no choice other than to take him down in order to be certain he was not carrying a gun... and the wife attempting to kick the guard between his legs was not a smart move, either.

In my opinion security had a job to do in both protecting guests and eachother. They did what was expected of them, fast.
