Here are 3 stories I will share.

A Pit Supervisor I knew very well and knew I collected chips once asked me if I wanted a set of roulette chips from the casino. I replied with a laugh and said thanks,but I already have them.

Another time I asked a Pit Boss I knew if they would sell me roulette chips. Her reply was play and take what you want.

Granted this next story takes place when the New Frontier was closing. I asked the pit boss if he could sell me a set of roulette chips from each table. He told me to ask the shift manager which I did. He said meet me at the pit in a few minutes. After a spin he told me put my money down and had the dealer give me one of each color. ( I did Toke the dealer) We then went to the second table and did the same.

Now other times the pit don't take kindly to chips walking. So my opinion/observation is every place is different.
