I forwarded the email I received to the "real" Sheldon Smith and received the following reply;

"Thanks for getting back to me. I need to send $1,500 to a business partner in Ukraine as soon as possible. I got the email late and today's the deadline, I'm out of town till weekend and would not be able to get it done here. I need you to help me wire the money at any western union agent near you. I will defintely refund you, the funds need to be sent today. Get back to me so I can send you the details."

Of course I'm headed out the door right now to the nearest Western Union agent to help out my chipper friend in his time of need.
