It's nice that you didn't make a stink about it, but you could have (and if it were me -- should have). notes that it's transactions are a binding contract & it would have taken some type of punitive action against the seller. If you mistakenly bid this chip up to a few hundred more than it's worth, do you think that the seller would be as understanding if you decided not to pay? I think not.
