Sure seems like it. A ridiculous $1 rake + $4 promotion drop, and still just a couple of tables going.
I'm not a cash player, but if I was, I would say to hell with promotions and just lower the rake to $2-$3 a hand.
Or better yet, charge an hourly rake, as they often do back East, instead of the $4-$5 drop per hand which is standard in Vegas and L.A.
It is almost impossible to be a long term winner at 3/6 or 4/8 Limit with a $5 drop each time..even 1/2 NL it is very hard to be a long term winner with that rake..
