There was one casino in France where all the jetons and plaques were made into a sculpture in the town's square, somewhere... and that's about it with the exception of government in Puerto Rico dumping in the "Puerto Rican Trench" which is the second deepest body of water in the World... I think it was still common to dump them there in the 1990s as well.
