I have been to The Dragonara and the 'Casino at Portomaso' there are no Snappers in use at either location, they use €1 and 50c chips for blackjacks and odd amounts.
The chip guide shows two €5 chips from Portomaso, both are still in use but I was told that the Hologram chips are V.I.P cash chips. Used to make tracking their play easier. As such I was unable to collect any of those but I did manage to take some photos of the unhologramed chips €25 and €100.
Roulette chips at both locations are generic pattern type chips, variations on star designs, nothing special.
Google maps shows "Casino Maltese" in Valetta I was unsure as to whether it was a casino or a billiard sand reading club after researching a little online. went there and there was a paper notice saying members only, with a receptionist smoking out the front who said again that it was a private club. We inquired as to whether there were any table games inside and how to become a member but her English wasn't too good and by the give of the place I'd say there aren't any gaming tables or chips inside.
Also a bit more research shows that casino Di Venezia in Vittoriosa close in April 2013 as a result of financial issue. There I'd apparently an interested party wanting to start a new property in malta using the staff that were made redundant.
Tomorrow we're heading a bit north and going to pop in to The Oracle Casino for a look, I'll check if they have any snappers there.
