I know you say that in jest, but you are correct.
I've said this before, but a price guide for illegals is really tough now. At one point when illegals were HOT, prices and demand were HIGH. Now, not so much. I could put a price of $100 based on a sale and if as little as 3 more chips were found, that price would be $20. It's just impossible. We're not like Nevada where we can soak up new finds.
Good example: Kentucky Club, Covington, KY blue die-cut. Years ago I know of two that sold, both for $500 each. Today you can buy them on ebay for $40. Any estimated cost is outdated as soon as a chip goes for sale.
I'm not sure a price guide is the answer, but I am working (very slowly) on something...
