The tornament chips include a bonus chip. One is given to each player in lieu of a $1,000 chip. it is used as a $1,000 chip until the blinds surpass $1,000. Then it is used equal to the big blind. So, if the blinds are $1,000-$2,000, the bonus chip has a value of $2,000. They account for the bonus chip as each new dealer comes in.
