I went out and bought a 200 watt aquarium heater for our 800 gallon pond just so it doesn't freeze solid and kill the fish. I have no idea if the heater did any good or not. Waterfall is still working so I guess the fish are still OK but it will be at least a few days before the several inches of ice melts and I can tell for sure.
