ALL the fake chips look VERY REAL; That is the problem!!![

Remember, these people make about $250 a year, if they find jobs, so they have all the time in the world and all the stolen materials from the government to do them. Still, not difficult.

Country Club chips- I Know the group that made those and others. Made the mistake of using the same font for 3 different clubs. Open lines. Cubans always used straight closed lines. rarely, if ever open. The paint (golden) can be removed when heated, the material inside, when chipped and the outside is cleaned shows little or no aging in the outside. The material is a synthetic material not used in Cuba- Remember the last chips for Cuba were in 1950's. These are supposed to be from the 1920's.
After 15 years of doing this over and over, is not difficult, but you do have to go through all the steps. And again I know who made them after challenging them.

The C&S- Look nice from the outside. But, look at it under a loop, the first thing you see are new clear glue dropplets over the insert and around. The material is NOT that of C&S. You close your eyes and feel the chip and you can tell where the border is, where the end of the inserts start and even irregularities. We double checked with Rich just to make sure, and he only had to take one look to recognize a non-C&S.

We have used chemists several time to help us with age of material, encryption ink, etc and everything is less than 25 years old, as much as they can narrow them down,.

Trust me every one of these were put through the blender and did not pass a single test.

Why would somebody break a chip...... A lot of chips are found broken, so many Cubans take the insert of a broken chip and put it on top or replace the insert of a very cheap chip, making them valuable@!!!!

When you collect Cuban chips you have to be prepare for this. But, again, is becoming easy because practically all chips have been classified and anything completely new (finding) can be tested, because by now they are suppose to be almost 100 years old!!!
