I can easilly understand the use of such a greeting at the beginning of a year, but to wait for the last month to start wishing others happy holidays sounds dumb to me since most of all the holidays have passed. Like what all are they wishing others besides the joy of the birth of Christ. Not too much going on from Christmas to the end of December...
