I've recently started a FB group and would like to include scans of chips. There are not that many members as of yet but it can grow quickly if enough people start contributing. There was a site (UFCID.ORG) that was up but had to be shut down because of costs. It was sad to see it go because a lot of information had been contributed but Facebook is free so we have a great opportunity to start it up again.
