In Dallas madder than heck I did not go to the Tri

My Mom wanted me to take the bus to downtown to see JFK motorcade. I thought I wouldn't see anything. I kick myself for not being part of History. But my link to that important piece of History is that I got a bicycle violation from Dallas Police Officer JD Tippett. He was an Uncle of my neighbors who picked on me with a dincky riding double on a bicycle. He was shot and killed by Oswald in the Oak Cliff section of Dallas. After shooting Tippet, he tried to hide in the Texas Theatre and was captured by 30-40 armed Pallas Policemen. I used to watch Saturday Matinees at that theatre. After JFK's assignation, the entire City went deafly quiet. It was as if the world ended. No sound hardly at all. Really strange/weird..... Then, to witness Oswald being killed on live TV two days later. A lot to take in for a young 15 yr old....
