Thanks for the help but the problem wasn't the update settings but the fact that something happened to my Windows that would not allow the updates to load properly. I don't think it has anything to do with a bad update from Windows. The time when the update is loaded is immaterial - if it fails to load it just fails. Something must have been corrupted in either my system or the update itself.
