Re: USPS Regstered mail: I learned something

I just went through the same thing today Don. A registered package was shipped from Brea, California to me on October 31 via 2-Day US Priority Mail. Each day I would check to see the progress and each day all the tracking would show was that it was accepted in Brea on the 31st and to the Brea sorting center on November 1st and "in transit". When I called the USPS Customer Service 800 number yesterday to inquire as to its whereabouts, I was told that Registered Mail always takes longer than 2-Day priority because everybody who handles the package must sign for it. To make a long story short ... the package arrived today ... 7 days after it was mailed. All the tracking information showed was the day it was mailed from the Brea, California sorting center and the end office that it was delivered to.
