David; I don't know what your experience has been, but I have sold many of my Blackhawk and Central City Colorado chips on ebay during the month of late October with images that were below 500 dpi. It was only when I tried to list my Cripple Creek chips on Monday, that I was notified that my scans were not acceptable to ebay. I thank you for pointing out to me that I needed to resize my images to at least 500 dpi. At least I didn't have to re-scan them, thereby saving a lot of extra work.
