When I was in 9th grade I started buying every one of the "new" Marvel comics that started coming out - Avengers, Fantastic Four, Spiderman, Sgt Fury, etc. I got them all every month. After I got married I had a three foot high box of them in the basement and decided to sell them since they were starting to get moldy. I got 25% of book value for them and that turned out to be about what I paid for them in the first place. There were several of those comics that are worth the $110 I got for them EACH. I did keep a few but the lady buying them said I could not cherry pick which ones I wanted to keep after finding out the value. Dumb of me not to investigate it first. I did mange to keep a few and still have them.
